Whitsundays Day 2

We got up early on the second day to sail to White Haven Beach. The beach was absolutely beautiful and the sand was unreal. It is apparently the purest deposit of silica sand in the world. The water was crystal clear and a beautiful turquoise colour. The water was actually pretty warm as well. Craig decided to make himself a lady out of sand who likes rugby. Brenden made a Viking like boat and Mike dug a giant hole for Laura to stand in. We explored the area and then walked up to the lookout to see the whole of the beach and the various islands near by.

After that we went to Maureen's cove to do some snorkelling and diving. Mike and I spent a good chunk of time snorkelling. It was pretty unreal to see so much coral and fish life. I got to see some big clams and beautiful fish.

After that we sailed to stone haven bay to anchor for the night. We were able to watch the sunset over the ocean which was absolutely spectacular. We had a lovely dinner and spent time sharing stories and jokes with Craig, Laura and Brenden. We drank tea and laughed until about 10-10:30 and then headed to bed. We were pretty tired from being in the water most of the day.
