Bundaberg Ginger Beer Factory

Bundaberg is famous for both its soft drinks and its rum, which are produced in the city. We went to the ginger beer factory with Eryn and Rylee for a Sunday afternoon adventure. It wasn't the actually brewing process but scenes set up to show the history and explain the brewing methods. It is pretty neat because they still make pop the traditional way and with natural ingredients. After the tour we got to try all the soft drinks they make. My favourites are the ginger beer and the sarsaparilla.

We stopped by the rum factory and looked around the gift shop. It was pretty pricey for a tour and the girls weren't allowed so we didn't go. Afterward we went to the park to play. The girls had a blast with Mike pushing them on the swing. It was a fun way to spend a Sunday.

When we left our host in Bundaberg, the girls were pretty sad to see us go. Eryn painted a lady bug rock for us and told us to come back and visit. I told them that they are welcome to come visit us in Canada anytime but they need a toque, not a beanie.
